Section 1.2: read the paragraph on circular functions (in the book it appears before exercise 10). Work on exercises 10, 11, 12, 14, 16, 19 and 20. You will need a graphing program, I suggest you use this one: Graph

Section 1.2, exercises 5, 6, 11, 14, 20, 22, 24 (read the paragraph just above it) , 25 and 28.

Section 1.4, exercise 6 (there is a typo in this exercise; the previous exercise number you should consult is 25, not 23).

Newton's method: Read pages 322 - 328 on chapter 5. Then do exercises 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Read carefully Section 1.3

Do all problems 1--23 (for this section it is important to do the exercises in order).

Submit in writing 3--15, 17, 19--23.

Study Chapters 3 and 5. Most of them is review of derivatives. Make sure you study those sections that review material you feel weaker. Skip 3.7. Work on lots of exercises.
