Week 10: Monday, July 22 - Friday, July 26

Monday, July 22
Changed explanation in Watt to match the relabling.
Trying to relable the applet of inner flexing of Bricard's octahedron. Cinderella does not like using the same names for elements.
Sonya sent the modified Peaucellier applet. It is easier to seewhich points are connected.
Looked over the old email. Reminded that there is a mpg file that shows a cube unfolding, that goes to the same place as Becky's animation. Added to the links.
The contraparallelogram is now up.
Sonya sent the Line Tracking applet. It is up now.
I'm not certain if this is what was intended, but the Cauchy opening applet is now up.

Tuesday, July 23
Beenish has the desk lamp applet on her page. I copied it into the FUCG pages. Her Pantograph applet doesn't seem quite right yet.
Relabled Dessi's Multiplicator applet to match the book. Also added an applet that multiplies a given angle by two to the Kempe's Multiplicator section. Then realized that a Multiplicator by two is the same as the Reversor.
Sonya sent me the Quadrilateral applet, now up.

Wednesday, July 24
Started writing the abstract on Women in science.
Went over the FUCG Linkages page with Joe and see which applets need modifying, what needs changing.
What's changed: applet under 3D projections moved to Arch Algorithms, Kempe's Reversor page was deleted, modified Beenish's lanmp to look symmetrical, modified linkage parallelogram

Thursday, July 25
"Foldings of the square into convex polyhedra" now links to Heather's page.
Line tracking applet modified
Contraparallelogram now modified
Modified Peaucellier linkage added
Pentagon applet now has clipped lines. Joe seemed to have used the define perpendicular line feature, which has lines that go on forever, so I used the draw connecting line option, traced over all of the lines that he wanted clipped, then used the clipping option.

Important: When updating applets and web pages, must modify/save/upload (in that order) both the html and the applet file, otherwise the change would not appear. It seems that cinderella files don't properly save until the application is closed.

Spent the rest of the day working on the Women of Science abstract. The important thing to remember right now is that it is 12pt font in Times New Roman.

Friday, July 26
Presentations have gone well. Now working on the Women in Science abstracts and the readme file for Joe.
